Governance and HR Manager – 12-15 months fixed term maternity leave cover (25 – 35 hours per week) 
EVH Grade 8: £40,234 - £43,530 (pro rata)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our Corporate Governance and HR Team, providing enhanced customer services through proactive engagement, robust governance and compliance, responsive, supportive HR to internal and external customers.  

The successful candidate will be performance driven, and will demonstrate role flexibility, proficient IT skills, excellent communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.  A strong understanding of current employment legislation and best practice is essential for this role as well as knowledge of Data Protection and FOI/EIR requirements.  Previous experience of HR Systems would be advantageous. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • A key member of the Corporate Team, leading and supporting a small staff team to deliver excellent governance, compliance and HR services internally and externally.  
  • High level of technical knowledge and experience, focus on HR, compliance, risk management and co-ordination of team performance
Key Tasks:
  1. Manage and support operational delivery of compliance, governance and HR
  2. Provide HR advice on policy, procedure, best practice and legislation in relation to disciplinary, grievance, attendance and absence management, performance management etc. 
  3. Ensure compliance with GDPR and FOI
  4. Contribute to development of strategy/policy/procedures/KPIs
  5. Review policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
  6. Service and Lead on Staffing Sub Committee Meetings
  7. Oversee administration of the HRIS Software
