GOULD AWARD: GOING FOR GOULDNOMINATIONS FOR 2010 AWARD TO BE RECEIVED BY 26/02/10INTRODUCTION As part of our 30th celebrations and in recognition of Anne Gould's contribution to GWHA, a staff recognition award was launched in 2008. Anne Gould served GWHA as a valued management committee member for 5 years. She died after a brief illness as GWHA embarked on its 30th anniversary. In GWHA's quest for continuous improvement it is easy to overlook the positive – not Anne! She would always home in on the successes. Always upbeat, her glass was never half empty, or not even half full - always overflowing. She touched all who met her and will always be remembered for her passion for life. With ease, Anne recognised the best in any situation, without compromising on the customer service experience. It is appropriate therefore, that Anne's contribution to GW is commemorated in an upbeat fashion, through an annual staff recognition award as part of GW's 30th celebrations. OBJECTIVE The objective of this award is to introduce a specific perspective on staff recognition; reflecting the attributes associated with Anne, i.e. her upbeat and positive nature and focus on quality services. NOMINATION CRITERIA Nominations will be considered in respect of a member of staff who you consider: - goes out of their way to regularly deliver exemplary customer service (external or internal)
- develops an initiative that enhances the customer experience
- is always upbeat/smiles in the face of adversity.
Nomination Forms will be available from the website and reception. AWARD PANEL A panel comprising of the Chairperson and Director will meet annually to review the Nominations, consider feedback and other relevant correspondence. The award will usually be announced at the GW annual Staff Conference, which tends to be held in March each year. AWARD The award will be known as the Gould Award and marketed under a Going for Gould banner.
